General Process for Immigation DNA Testing
STEP 1
Petitioner determines that their immigration application will be strengthened by Immigration DNA Testing...
STEP 2

STEP 3
Work with the BRT Immigration DNA Testing Coordinators to identify convenient:
- US Draw Sites for the Petitioner
- In-country draw sites for the Beneficiary
STEP 4
At the draw site please bring:
- Your valid government issued Identification
- Any paperwork provided by the Embassy/Consulate, Homeland Security, or INS
- Payment
STEP 5
Sample Collection:
- Either a cheek swab or drop of blood will be collected
- Both the Petitioner and Beneficiary samples are shipped to the laboratory
STEP 6
The laboratory performs tests to determine the likelihood of the relationship claimed by the Petitioner and the Beneficiary
STEP 7
All results are compiled into a report and sent to the Embassy/Consulate and appropriate Homeland Security/INS office
