Chimerism Testing Shipping Requirements

Pre-transplant (Recipient & Donor): 3-10ml venous blood in EDTA (purple top) vacuum tube for non-cell selected samples, ACD (yellow top) or sodium heparin (green top) for samples that need cell selection prior to analysis, OR perihperal blood on FTA card (available from BRT).

Post-transplant: 5-10 ml venous blood in EDTA (purple top) tube OR bone marrow on FTA card (available from BRT). Minimum of 1 ml.

T-cell Subset Testing: 5-10 ml venous blood in EDTA (purple top) tube.

Bone Marrow: please contact BRT Laboratories, Inc. for specific information on shipping bone marrow.

Sample Handling

All blood or marrow samples should be refrigerated immediately after draw and shipped as soon as possible (within 24 hours), or deposited onto FTA cards (and shipped at room temp), to insure that the cell population ratios can be accurately determined.

Samples are received Monday - Thursday, only.
